Snow Removal FAQ

The snow removal ordinance for Douglas County is that all snow and ice must be removed from sidewalks and driveways within 24 hours after snow has stopped falling.  Snow or ice cannot not be placed in any public right of way.  Please be courteous of your neighbors and school children and remember to keep your walks clear.  Be sure to knock snow off trees to minimize damage.  If you have further questions please review the information at the Metro District Website or call 303-660-7476.  For public utility power outages contact Excel Energy.
